Stars Wish Fans Ramadan Kareem

Stars Wish Fans Ramadan Kareem

IN2IT’s Isaac took to Twitter to wish fans Ramadan Kareem on Friday.

“Four Weeks of mercy, 30 days of worship, 720 hours of Spirituality. 43,200 Minutes of Forgiveness, 2592000 Seconds of Happiness, Ramadan Kareem Mubarak,” the K-Pop boy band member wrote in the group’s official Twitter page.

Quite oddly enough, the Malaysian K-Pop singer added a TikTok video of him taking on the emoji face challenge in the post. In response to his tweet, fans soon commented and thanked the artist for his wishes.

Over the last few years, other K-Pop bands such as BTS wished fans a Ramadan Kareem during an interview with KBS World Radio Arabic in 2015. Back in May, Benji from boy group B.I.G — known for singing Arabic cover songs — told Gulf News that his group would all like to fast for Ramadan for a day.

“If we’re going to do a global cover project, it should extend beyond ‘we sing different languages’. Experience the culture,” he said. “If you’re going to do something and you’re going to receive that much support, that’s the least you can do.”

Isaac has been actively promoting the all-male band since October 2017. Originally formed from survival show Boys24 with eight members, Jinsub departed the group in 2018 while Sunghyun followed a year later.

Alongside soloist AleXa, IN2IT garnered attention last year for embarking on their first tour in India and especially for their Bollywood-style dance cover of ‘The Jawaani Song’ from movie ‘Student Of The Year 2’.

As of the end of January, the group’s remaining members — Inpyo, Inho, Hyunuk, Jiahn, Yeontae and Isaac — reportedly parted ways with MMO Entertainment and continued independently.

K-Pop Star Wonho To Continue Career Under New Label

K-Pop Star Wonho To Continue Career Under New Label

Wonho will now officially continue his K-Pop career under Starship Entertainment’s subsidiary label.

On April 10, it was confirmed that former Monsta X member signed an exclusive contract with Highline Entertainment — home to artists like DJ Soda, Dress, and PLUMA — and will debut as a soloist and producer.

Right after the announcement, Wonho — whose real name is Shin Ho-seok — launched social media accounts to connect and communicate with fans, who have been tirelessly and unwaveringly supporting the artist following his departure from Starship Entertainment in October 2019 amid allegations made against him.

Better known as Monbebes, the fans have demanded his reinstatement — whether online or on the streets — and they no doubt played a role in changing the direction of his career, which is something that Wonho noted in a released statement.

Last month, the label relayed in a statement that the singer-songwriter-producer was cleared of all drug charges by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation team, promising to “continue to fully support Wonho for developing his own career in the future”.

The 27-year-old has since personally opened up about the accusations.

Though scandals can easily tarnish a K-Pop idol’s career, Wonho signing with his label’s subsidiary marks a major and unseen move in the highly competitive industry.

Since his departure from the group, Monsta X has moved forward as a six-member group, releasing all-English album, ‘All About Luv’ in February.

K-Pop’s Woo Ji-Yoon Splits From BOL4

Woo Ji-yoon has decided to part ways from indie duo BOL4 after four years.

Last week, the duo’s agency Shofar Music confirmed the departure of the guitarist and backup vocalist in a statement, citing Woo’s personal concerns about the direction of her future career as the reason.

After lengthy discussions and persuasions with the agency and co-member, they ultimately decided to respect her wishes.

In a handwritten letter shared by her agency, Woo thanked fans for their support and love and openly admitted she’s been thinking of leaving for some time after much consideration.

Bandmate and lead vocalist Ahn Ji Young will continue performing as a soloist under BOL4 moving forward without recruiting new members. She is working on new music to be released in May.

The high-school classmates originally competed in singing competition Superstar K6 in 2014 before formally debuting with EP ‘Red Ickle’ in 2016. They’ve released songs such as ‘Workaholic’, ‘To My Youth’, ‘Galaxy’ and ‘Fight Day’.
