Meet Samar

Samar Khouri is a Reporter based in Dubai, UAE.

She is not interested in sticking to the norm. Hailing from Australia and Lebanon, her love for Korean pop has landed her own K-Pop column, titled K-Pop Corner, at Dubai’s Gulf News tabloid!, making her the first journalist to have one in the UAE and the MENA region.

Samar has also broken exclusive K-pop stories and conducted interviews with SM Entertainment artists as well as other notable names such as SF9, D-Crunch, Kevin Woo, to name a few.

When she’s not writing on K-pop and K-dramas, she takes the role of Reporter at Forbes Middle East, where she covers the latest on celebrities and the business of fashion, music, and media.

Given her extensive knowledge within the field of K-pop and the music industry, she’s been invited to offer her commentary and expert analysis from other news sources like CNN, Dubai Eye 103.8, and The Insider Bil Arabi. Other publications include Khaleej Times, The Citizen, among others.

Samar has also been a moderator at a Forbes 30 Under 30 panel at the World Government Summit 2022, and an MC/moderator for Forbes Middle East‘s events.
